Linda completed her undergraduate degrees in history and education at the University of North Carolina-Asheville, where she graduated with distinction as a university scholar. Prior to practicing law, Linda was an educator in the Catawba County and Wake County Public School Systems. Ms. Ward received her law degree magna cum laude from the evening program at North Carolina Central University School of Law, where she served as assistant associate editor of the North Carolina Central Law Journal, was a senior board member of the North Carolina Central Moot Court Board, and the school’s Trial Advocacy Team, where she competed in national competitions. Linda has written manuscripts and presented at a number of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminars sponsored by the Lorman Group, the North Carolina Advocates for Justice (formerly the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers) and Wake Forest University School of Law on a variety of topics, including tax and financial implications of divorce, evidentiary privileges, professional responsibility and ethical considerations in the mediation process, and the impact and effect of tax consequences in the distribution of marital and divisible assets. Linda is an active member of the Cary MacGregor Rotary Club, where she has previously served as President (2007-2008). Ms. Ward is a member of the Cary Chamber of Commerce and lives in Cary with her husband and two children. Linda limits her practice exclusively to family law matters. |

She also has completed training in family law mediation and arbitration and is certified by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission as a family financial mediator. She is a member of the Wake County Bar Association, the Family Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association and the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association.
